『
We are a class of second graders (7 and 8 years old).
Here is a list of the standards that we are trying to accomplish through this project.
Hopefully they'll give you an idea of what we're trying to learn.
- Describe the cultural practices of people on different continents.
(holidays, celebrations, daily life)
- Describe ways in which language, stories, folktales, music and
artistic creations serve as expressions of culture and
influence the behavior of people living in a particular culture.
(murals around your city, paintings that everyone likes to visit, regional music
(i.e. Scottish bagpipes, Irish dance, etc...)
- Explain why people in different parts of the world earn a living in a variety of ways.
(Tell us about your job!)
- Please keep all information and cards appropriate for a 7/8 year
old.
The students are going to be challenged to write a report about your part
of the world; different and interesting facts (outside of what we can find
in a library book) is more than welcome! Any information that pertains to youth
(hobbys, popular sports, popular cartoons) would also be great.
Thank you for helping us learn about the world around us!
』
『
Thank you so much for the card and information on the spoonbill!
』
